Bathroom Renovation Days 10 and 11

One step forward, two steps back!   At least that is the way it seems when it comes to bathroom renovations.  The last time I posted, Mike had put both the flooring and the toilet in; however, he wasn't satisfied with it because the floor had begun to sink on either side of the joist, which made the toilet wiggle. We also had left too much room between the end of the flooring and the wall, so the quarter round wouldn't cover it.    So...out came the toilet and the flooring.

He then proceeded to build the floor up and make sure that the toilet no longer rocked.

This toilet is taller than the last one, so he had to go to Home Depot to get the proper piping to hook it up.

Mike also spent time installing a new GFCI plug for our new bathtub.   He had to watch some youtube to figure out how to do that. With youtube, you can learn anything!

At the end of the day, the toilet is properly installed and the flooring is back in.  The bathroom is looking good!
