Bathroom Renovation: Days 12-14?

I am losing track of how long we have been at the bathroom renovation.   We have to take breaks when Mike has to do his day job :).   Things have been coming along slowly but surely.

Mike and I brought the bathtub upstairs yesterday and shimmied,  and shimmied and coco puffed it into place.   Mike had to cut out some of the dry wall to make it fit....and part of the door frame.  So that will now have to be redone.  Mike hooked up the drain and did the plumbing downstairs and it had to "dry" overnight.   I think that is what it was doing anyway.   As of right now we have the bathtub in place!  I took a "test bath" today to see if everything was working properly.  It was!  I am going to have to learn not to make it so hot though!

We have the countertop sealed with its second coat of epoxy resin.   That stuff is tenacious about getting under things.   We had a few drops get onto the lower cabinet and some into the sink...so that is going to have to be retouched up.   Mike has the doors back on the vanity.   He has the cabinet up over the toilet. Both of these things will require some touch up, fill in of screws, that sort of thing...but it is coming together.

Mike tweaked his back today and is hurting...so we took a break this afternoon...or at least he was supposed to!   I later found out that he had actually built the boxes for the niches that will go in with the tile work.  I think he gets started on that tomorrow.

We are starting to feel ready to have our house back in order.   But it is going to be so nice when it gets done.

Didn't your Mama ever tell you not to put things in your mouth!
