Birthday Month Celebration: My 50th Birthday!

Golden, you are,

October.

Golden sovereigns on your trees.

Golden guineas on your floor,

golden coins of leaves

that fall

for us to scuffle through

and rustle

and rattle

and hustle

and scrabble

and dabble

and paddle

as they fall

which hides

our shoes.

Wow!   What a great month it has been celebrating my Birthday!   I am so blessed by the Lord with wonderful family, friends and resources.   God made me to be born in the loveliest month of the year when nature just shows off for our enjoyment!   Well....here I am, 50 years old. So far it has been a great day!  I woke up to this..."

Keep in mind that I already got my big present about a month ago.  

Mandy came over and we went to lunch at Cracker Barrel and then went over to my parents to visit.   My Mama had made my favorite cake.  It is yellow cake with Nellie's frosting.  The frosting goes on hot and then sets into a perfect delicious fudge....to die for goodness!  

I eagerly look forward to this next season of life.  I pray that God will use me in a way that will bring Glory to Him and to His Kingdom!  Speaking of Glory....my tree "October Glory" is looking a little more glorious every day :).
