Birthday Month Celebration Day 22: New Routine/Mike back to college

Feel October.
Weight of first blanket on the bed,
Distant warmth of retreating sun,
Thickening fur on an outdoor dog,
Firmness growing in the ground,
Heavy harbinger of a hard winter.

Today begins a new chapter in our household.   Mike is using his G.I. Bill to go back to college to get a nursing degree in addition to pastoring at Eastview Baptist.   So after a year and a half of having him around most of the time, I will have to get used to him being gone again.   It was fun to hear him talking about his classes and how different it is now than it was back in the dark ages before the internet when he last went to Austin Peay :).

So what did I do? I worked on establishing new routines.   I normally fly by the seat of my pants and though I keep up with things, I always feel like I would like to be more organized.   I use a lot of the http://flylady.net/ website ideas.   I use what I like, and change the routines to work for me.   This week I have been working on decluttering  my closets and drawers in my bedroom.   I do a little bit at a time, and it is amazing that with very little effort and just a few minutes a day,  I have accomplished a lot and am feeling pretty organized.so I decided to celebrate my student husband and my new routines today.
