We have resorted to using the flower boxes as work tables. We are running out of spaces :). |

I'm turning blue! I'm a smurf! I have had blue paint on my hands, on my clothes, in my hair....oh yeah and on the cabinets :). |
The newness has worn off of this kitchen project a little bit. Mike and I are both moaning and groaning a little more often. Some of the "good pinterest ideas" have been put on the back burner for "later." We are making good progress though, and liking what we have done so far. We have a house full of dust! There is a fine layer of it on everything. Mike has been creating it by tearing down a closet and drywall sanding and repair. He creates it by sawing wood and making my beautiful countertops. The enemy of painting cabinets is dust. I fought it as long as I could, but dust happens, and I have decided to just do the best that I can. I did go out and buy this baby yesterday though. 6 hp of dust
eating goodness! See...there is even a layer of dust on it! :)

Hardware removed and soaked in vinegar, and Dawn and scrubbed with a toothbrush. |
|
They were pretty yucky. |
|
Here they are with a coat of oil rubbed bronze. All nice and fresh. |
|
Remember where that closet used to be? |
|
Here it is again with the wall and floor repaired. |
We are still having fun!!!
