Kitchen Renovation: In For a Penny....

.....in for $3000.  

First of all look who got sucked into my project!  

One of the great things about having a melancholy husband is that he doesn't do anything half way.   I was going to do a little bit at a time....sand a while, clean a while, paint a while.   But when Mike comes into a project, efficiency has to happen!   I'm told we need to just "dive in if we are going to do this thing!"   And so before I know it, the cabinet doors are all off, the drawers are out, the dishwasher has been uninstalled, and the drop in stove disconnected and stowed in the garage AND we went to Lowes to order our new stainless appliances!   

Here is what we ordered....

I am pretty excited...and it also made me nervous to go and buy something that quick!   I got a chuckle out of the fact that I wanted to do it fast while Mike was willing to buy.    Mike later told me that he wanted to do it fast because I was willing to do it cheap! :).   

So one day into the renovation and the kitchen is looking like this...
